My grandmother is very ill, probably expecting the last days. My oldest aunt whom originally had POA power of attorney and was the executor of the account started moving assets out of my grandmother's name. Fortunately before my grandmother's health deteriorated too much, my mom begged her to add my uncle as well as the executor. The lawyers were able to spot some assets like a land transfer and request the assets were moved back. But who knows how far and what my aunt had been plotting for weeks or months prior. What do you do in this scenario? Please suggestions before it is too late.

The lawyers who were helping you, did you ask them your questions? They are the ones that can help you.

Are you asking whether you should get your aunt in legal trouble? If she was stealing, that is against the law! Can the lawyers check back further?

I guess if Aunt replaced all the illegally moved assets, I would be satisfied with that.

Does Aunt claim that her mother authorized the asset transfers? Is that a possibility?
