Find Care & Housing
Nothing you can do. Children are not obligated to care for parents. And I don't think grandchildren should expect to be. Its said, its so nice to see when the whole family steps in. But caring usually falls on one person maybe two.

I read ur profile and you may want to get Mom evaluated. Call your County Office of Aging and see how u can get this done. They will come into Moms home and see what resources she may need and safety features. Sometimes coming from a stranger they are more likely to listen.

Charlie, we do often get posts from someone who wants their LO to be kept ‘at home’, with the care being shared by other family members. Quite often, it seems as though the other 'uncooperative' family members are the ones being realistic, rather than unpleasant. Other family members may be unable (as well as unwilling) to do the care that is being suggested. They may also see that the whole arrangement is not going to work, and that it would be better to look at 24/7 care from people who are trained to do it.

However you feel about this yourself, don’t let it split the whole family. This is a time for a consensus approach and mutual support.

You say, "Okay" and then set about figuring out other ways to get help for 'someone' who you are caring for. You can't get blood from a stone, nor should you try to.
