So I'm taking care of an elderly person that can't walk and I have to do everything for him well when it comes to taking care of him, his elderly wife continue putting me down and telling me I'm doing it wrong. I'm wasteful when I'm doing everything I post to do then she demands me to clean up when I'm trying to care for her husband thshe talks to me like I'm a child when I don't do what she demands she talks about me to everybody in Spanish I explained to her that I'm here for her husband's care not hers she told me she can do better job then me I'm tired of this verbal abuse I'm far from home and her family is close I'm here until Friday what do I do

Is this a paid position? Does the wife has dementia? Who is your employer? Answer those questions and you'll have an answer to your bigger question, which is, should you stay or leave.

uniqu3lu909, what you are facing is probably very common.... a wife who is unable to take care of her husband will be resentful to another woman who is doing the care. And she will think she knows what is best even though she never had faced such an elderly decline of her own husband.

And yes, she will gossip to others trying to gain sympathy so that others will feel sorry for her, and not view her her as a none caring wife.

Do your job to the best of your ability and tune out the wife. Bet the husband is secretly enjoying having two women care for him :P

It's a paid position it's private contract I'm not sure what she has she's very private with her medications and her health
