Once she gets it her personality changes. She is 85 and she has Parkinson.

You can teach HIM to recognize the patterns of her behavior. You can teach HIM to draw the line in the sand when she pushes him too far.
You can tell him he is being played and what she will do next. I predicted that my MIL would be rushed to the hospital the day before we were to leave on a vacation. As I was explaining what she was about to do, the phone rang for my husband. Sure enough, it was the ALF calling to say his mom was going to the ER for a "possible" stroke.
You can do absolutely nothing to change her, nor should you try. Nor should you cater to her announcements of imminent death.
