I am looking to open an Alzheimer's Activity Center and I am curious as to what types of services you feel are lacking in you city or town where you live. Services that could help you with keeping your loved one at home as long as possible.

I'm not so sure the issue is about being "more readily available" than it is "more readily affordable"...?

I agree with Geaton. I have applied to dozens and dozens of agencies for help and have been denied each and every time. Sometimes we were simply a hundred dollars over the income limit. Finding agencies who would help with things we need without making us jump through hoops and then denying us anyway would be a Godsend.
