Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum. I've asked questions and gotten very helpful responses, and have also read quite a bit from other people's experiences. My father-in-law went to heaven just before Thanksgiving. I'm heartbroken, and so is my husband, but we're dealing with it as best we can. Thank you to everyone here; you helped us get through a really difficult situation. Best wishes and blessings to all. May you and your loved ones have peace this Christmas and holiday season, and in the New Year.

Thank you all for your continued support and condolences. The people on this forum are amazing!

We're doing ok. The relatives have all left town, so now it's just us. It's weird not having Dad in the house. I haven't decorated for Christmas - can't do it. Just can't. So, we're going out of town for the Christmas weekend! I think that will be easier than staying here.

Good idea. You can regroup and have a different and hopefully pleasant holiday experience. I hope you enjoy yourselves as much as possible. I'm sure your dad would have wanted it that way.
