My mom was hospitalized this week for afib. Things seemed to be going great for the first couple of days. On the third day her blood pressure dropped very low and on the fourth day her heart rate dropped into the 30's. The fifth day she felt great! She was up walking around room all afternoon. Today. Day 6, she doesn't even want to sit up. Says she is dizzy and weak. All the nurses and doctors will say is, "we we are trying to get medications figured out.". I am very confused and worried! Is this typical for the first time being treated for afib?
