I've never heard of this. There is a battery of tests that require almost a whole day to complete that can give a tentative diagnosis of Alz. There might be something preliminary that doctors do in order to decide whether to refer a patient to a neurologist or not. I have only seen three of the exercises -- draw a clock set at a certain time, remember a list of 3 things, and matching objects that are turned differently.
