I would look into the nearest Senior Center and arrange transportation for her. Consider getting her to Assisted Living, since they have a LOT of activities both on site and on little bus trips, plus three meals a day with fellow residents.

1. Hospitals for stroke support groups.

2. Senior centers as Pam suggested.

3. Libraries for book clubs, sit and chat coffee sessions, knitting get-togethers (if she knits), Michaels and/or Jo-ann Fabrics or other crafts stores for brief arts and crafts demonstrations/classes, some garden shops (such as English Gardens in our area) which have winter crafting classes. We also have an herbal garden and store which has crafting classes, although they are expensive.
