Troublesome roommate visitors. What do you do?

What can be done when your loved one is in a room.with another patient who has visitors who are rude and loud . They have no regard for others and are constantly cross contiminating the area. They bring half a dozen children with them and they are out of control. I thouht there was a rule about young kids being in hospitals.

Talk to the charge nurse.

Yup, go to the nurse's station and report it. They may tell you that the roommate is dying or close to it, so they are bending the rules. Ask them to move roomie to a bigger, private room.

The other solution is to give your mother a farting "whoopee cushion" and encourage her to use it, and say "aaaaahhhh"
