We need a lot more information about his condition and how he is paying to answer this question. If he is in fairly good condition and is not receiving Medicaid, you can just pick him up and transfer him. However, if he is in poor condition or on Medicaid, Pam's advice is very good.

Don't do it. The medical transport will cost thousands. His Medicaid is paid by Kentucky, so as soon as he leaves the state, Medicaid ends. You have to start all over in Alabama, establish residence, do the five year look back etc.
