Can I get training to care for my Dad in a short period of time like an 8 hour course?

my sister told me there was a 8 hour course to train me to take care of my father.

I find that very hard to believe!
Does she know where?
I'd check with your local community college about courses to become a CNA. That takes more than 8 hours.
