I am looking for suitable employment for my 79 year old mother in Wichita Kansas with the Title V program through the Division of Aging. Currently she is working a job that requires standing for long periods on hard floors which is against her doctors orders.I worked for the local agency in KC that administered this program and I am hoping there is something similar in my mother's area. I'm not up to date on the requirements for participation in this program, I need a list of current requirements. I also worked with Oats and Jackson County Board of Services where we provided transportation to doctor's appointments etc. funded by Title 20.

It is important to my mother to keep working and it is important to my sisters and I to keep her healthy and safe. In addition, she is showing signs of declining memory and cognitive skills. We would like to find some brain aid type publications to help her remain sharp. She does not use a computer and unfortunately most programs of this tyoe seem to be computer based.

I think you might want to talk to her MD, there reaches a point where she would be more suited to day services than actual paid employment. Contact Senior Services of Wichita at seniorservicesofwichita.org for information
