I'm trustee for my brother's supplemental needs trust. The lawyer emailed me what I can get paid. It's complicated, but can a professional or a non-profit change what ever they want to be trusted?

You draw up a legal contract that is compliant with your state's trust laws. The wages you are paid should be the prevailing wages for the services that are provided. If you are a court appointed Guardian of the Estate, the court has to approve the compensation.
