Gary, good for you! Keep taking care of your own needs and you will be a better advocate for your mom.

Nothing wrong with ground hog day for someone that doesn't know it is same old same old.

Your mum is in a relatively safe place and there's a staff nurse keeping an eye out. That's good.

So keep living for yourself - road trips, holidays, meeting up with friends. Visit your mum once a week, tops. Less when you need a break.

Take care.
