Find Care & Housing
Does she have health insurance, Medicaid?

Ask her to sign a HIPAA waiver so you can talk to the social worker at the infusion center, hospital, or as recommended by her oncologist.

Also ask those same sources if there is a support group that you and your friend can join.

Both of those sources should be able to help you with locating resources to help out.

Or call the United Way help line - 211.

Gilda's Club is an excellent support center as well; I don't know if they have a resource list, but you and your friend could participiate in their activities. In my area, GC has a wide variety of activities and lectures, including some specific to various cancers.

Just being with others in similar situations could offer respite and emotional support for you both.

I wish you and your friend well during this challenging time of your lives.
