After working a 10 hour day, coming home to my mom flitting around aimlessly searching for an ink pen or wandering around looking for lotion or a Tylenol for the 20th time in the day or taking all her clothes out the bureau or whatever has her mentally amped up, drains me horribly. How do you rechannel that random burst of bizarre energy?

Document her behavior and talk to her doc about meds. Who is with her at this time of day? Caregiver needs to be skilled at redirection.

I have a sitter with her when I'm at work. This behavior starts when I'm with her after i get home from work. She's currently on aricept and takes lorazapam also at bedtime to help her sleep.
