You don't really give enough details to give a good answer. Are you caregiver for your father? What did you spend the money on? Does your father know you took it and agreed to it? Is your father mentally sound or mentally impaired?
See, if you're caring for your father and you have no job and you used the money for groceries you both shared or paid for rent in a home you share, put gas in the car you used to take him around town, and so on. Those types of things can be justified and understandable. In a case like that I don't think you would need to put the money back since it was used for his care.
If your father is of sound mind and gave you permission to use his pension, you need to pay it back as soon as you get a job.
If you flat out stole money from your father that's a whole other thing. Stealing isn't ok no matter how desperate you are for cash. How about some more information?

When you say you spent some of your father's pension... Did he know about this?

If he did, and he agreed, then the answer to how is you keep job hunting, apply for help from social security meanwhile, and figure out a repayment plan that you then stick to.

If he didn't agree, or didn't know, then I'm afraid that "spent some of dad's pension" is just a polite way of saying that you stole money from him. So I hope that's not what happened. But if it is, you'd better tell him. It's no good hoping you can give it back before he notices, especially not if you've no idea how or when you can.
