Sorry, didn't finish....the insurance doesn't know anything about the person being covered. I know someone who was medically turned down for insurance but got one of those guaranteed policies. Try becoming the owner so it is not an asset for the indigent person on SSI and affect his eligibility. Also, this way you cantrol who the beneficiary is so you can take care of final expenses when that time comes. Also see if the person can get some type of group coverage thru some group or even your employment.
