Does anyone know what the SLUMS exam is?

gma's healthcare provider sent someone to do an assessment on gma. the last part of the assessment included the SLUMS exam. gma scored 12 out of 30
can anyone tell me what SLUMS means?

I had to look it up. It is the St Louis University Mental Status exam. It can be downloaded online if you want to see the question. It is a brief exam to look at the cognitive abilities of the person taking it. My mother's doctor has asked her many of the questions on it.

BTW, a score of 12 would indicate dementia. I am sure it is something you already knew, since it is a fairly low score.
