Wanting to help the dressing in the morning. My 92 y/o father often wakes up swimming, so anything that would speed up getting wet clothes off and dry on would be great. I was considering a gown, but that would not work if he does get up in the night. He could not hold a gown up while sitting. Right now just sleeping in either light pajamas or sweatpants. I'm not sure if there is anything better, so asking here if anyone has suggestions. Thanks!

Thanks Eyerishlash, he does wear depends to bed, but will often overflow those. Working with controlling evening fluids and experimenting with that. Just trying to make mornings more pleasant for Dad and I. Lots of things we just have to deal with.

I have a patient I see right now and he is incontinent. He got a yeast infection after beginning to wear adult undergarments so now his family refuses to put him in adult diapers. He just pees and pees and pees all day and all night. The caregivers haven't found anything that helps with the clean up. He wakes up soaked every morning, all the linens are soaked, the blankets...everything. He gets a full bed bath in the a.m. and he gets cleaned up throughout the day.

I'm not sure there's anything you can do. There's no cure for incontinence. And as long as an incontinent person doesn't wear adult undergarments there's going to be a mess to clean up.
