She's lean, not tall, and actually got a pretty nice looking little ass on her. no belly to speak of. i wanna take aunt edna some new pants for her doc visit today. HELP!! thanks in advance. I already understand elastic waistband.
Oh, they will circle the wagons, they will try to grab Edna and move her so you can't get to her. Maybe you should give the independent living managers a heads up that the forces of evil will be trying to kidnap her.
in elder affairs that doc is as smart as a judge. i just pushed a wheelchair into the proper theatre and it played itself out. i know sharon wasnt there on unrelated business. theyve brought her there to observe her actions. ill bet edna was asked some interesting questions too. shes perfectly lucid, just loses memories.
Captain, you did a darn good job holding your fire. And your MD has some good nurses working for him. Your cousin is a classic bully, he was all puffy at you and had no idea how to handle the women in scrubs. Sometimes a little Nurse Ratchet is a good thing.
yea. what am i guilty of ? nipping out all of her ingrown toenails , taking her to er and hand delivering her to a follow up visit. so why are they screaming in my face ?
Captain your family sounds like you could star in a new series - the Indiana version of Duck Dynasty! :) I'm glad you were there for your aunt and she got some new clothes and a good (and dramatic) visit with her doctor. Her daughter and grandson sound like real pieces of work.
yea kitcar, charles was making his scene only about 5 feet from edna too. hes living in her home, edna lives in independant living in town, edna still being bilked for the property taxes, sharon should be in jail for hiding her from doc. they arent doing right . the med staff can see their over defensiveness. sharons words when i asked about doc appointment 3 days ago were; " she dont want to see that doc, he'll put her in nh, yea but do you know what that costs? '' " she'd have to go on medicaid " . theyre trying to protect that house and property. its a house edna laid the block foundation for, herself in 1963. hope they cuff sharon at the funeral. she withheld medical care and doc knows it. hes really brilliant in these matters.
Wow if your cousin can yell at you and her elderly mother like that in public in front of her doctors staff is embarrassing to her. The possibility that she does this to her mom when no one is looking makes me feel sad for your Aunt. On the positive side she gets to forget her daughters disrespectful behavior. Captain thank you for being one of the good guys in your aunts life. Your Mama is watching you with a huge smile on her face. As for people like your cousin, they will all have to answer to a higher power one day. Aloha and God Bless You Both!
what a day. on the way to wal treason i saw a goodys sign. lol it rang a bell. got edna a really pretty sweater and pants. sitting in doc office and in walks daughter sharon. she sat by us and got bent. started yelling up the place so bad she was reprimanded by staff. she kept yelling at us both. i and edna went to another waiting room. she came over there still yelling. i was told by staff that sharon was there purely by coincidence as lacy is her doc too but doc wanted me to come back with edna instead of sharon. when they came for us sharon demanded to go back with her mother. the staff said edna was going alone instead. in a few sharon was called back there. in another half hour sharon walked past me, told me some tests were being ordered for edna and she left. in another little while i was brought back to pick up edna. i had recieved erronious info from ednas dementia. she had seen doc back in september but told me she hadnt been in two years and in fact had never met him. im still legally privvy to ednas med info and intend to be there for her till the end. i love her. it gets worse. edna and i get to the parking lot, edna gets in my truck and a great big fellow stepped up into my face. grandson charles. he was bent. he frothed a little bit about beez wax and stuff like that till a nurse came into the parking lot to intervene, then another. he relented and left at a point. its a fact that sharon has stalled an appointment for weeks because shes afraid edna will go to NH. she stalled so long i had to take edna to er 2 weeks ago for coughing up blood. of course that pizzed the family off - made em look stupid. i dont really care. i listen to the elder and ill err on the side of the elder. nothing to discuss with any of them because i know that an abuser will try to isolate their victim . there is no lesson to be learned here except listen to the elder keep in mind that the dementia could be misleading you but take no chances. edna and i took a little country ride and stopped in at my sis's house for a little visit and out of the blue edna says " i gotta call and get me a doctor appointment. music to my ears, im in my comfort zone now. lol if theres any other lesson ; my mother died, ive stolen yours suckers !! edna and i are going to have a ball and have been for months. she told me she just feels safe with me. as for sharon ; the caregiver hotseat is an uncomfortable place to be. i feel bad for the carers but it aint about the carers comfort..
Take her ratty old jeans with you and ask the sales girl to find something that fits. It has to be petite unless you are good with the sewing machine and can shorten them. Aunt Edna is truly blessed nice ass and all
Walmart will carry two basic sizings for women: juniors and misses. Juniors clothing (ask someone where juniors section is) is cut smaller and Aunt Edna would maybe be ok in a juniors small. Misses or regular women's clothes are cut larger, and small wouldn't work, imo. My late GM was 4'10", I think, and 120. The older ladies like the clothes roomy. A juniors small usually worked for GM. I bought her PJ pants and sweat pants type garments that were basic enough for daytime wear but easy on and easy off.
Some of my thoughts: 102 is very small, most women's size small won't work for her. I'm 5'6", 125 (ok, used to be, lol) and women's small is still too big, you need xsmall size, OR… my advice is go to girl's section, children's section and get her size 12/14. That, to me, is the correct clothing size for a 102 lb woman.
Captain you're a sweetie!! Good luck with a new set of duds for her. And good luck with getting her a good doctor's visit. She's lucky to have you in her corner!
the clothes wouldnt matter except she cleaned up last night, washed her hair but was distressing a little over her worn, ratty jeans. shes been denied a doc visit for two years, its a big day to her..

Do you have Goodwill or a senior used clothes place? They would be good to help you.
it gets worse.

Man, no targets. I hate Walmart (no offense intended). You in Iowa?
