I turn 65 in March 2015. What is the difference in A part B and prescription? I understand that some people think that the more health insurance you have the better. But what is really important when signing up? What is the difference in a part b and prescription?

What is important is what you think you would need in the form of health insurance and then some.... you never know when a medical event will happen. I rather take the risk of having too much insurance than not enough.

As for signing up for supplement insurance, I signed up the same day I signed up for Medicare. If you are working full-time and get health insurance from your employer, check with them to see if that insurance can still be used as the supplemental insurance and prescription insurance.
