In a rather bizarre twist of fate, I was shown my dad's CT scan. It was from June of 2012. The results were shocking. The doctor showing me the scan (in January of 2013) confirmed that dad suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage. In retrospect, my mom and I were concerned about the changes we saw in my dad but it was all attributed to his Parkinson's and Dementia. I really didn't think he would make it to Christmas.
Actually, my mom didn't know until I told her. She was so surprised as she hadn't even been told that Dad was taken for a CT scan. His short term memory is poor anyway, but neither of them knowing is unsettling to me.

Well your mom knows now, correct? When the doctor told you did you ask why your dad hadn't been told? After my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer he didn't want to know results of tests, any sort of prognosis- nothing. Drove my mom crazy that he didn't. The doctor finally told her to drop the subject. Some people don't want to know. What are your concerns specifically?
