Can anyone provide a brief description or outline of what services are covered by Medicare?

The Medicare and You 2015 booklet is also a good source. You might be able to download it, or check online with FF's reference, but it's also helpful to have the booklet.

If you have specific questions, you can call Medicare. I've found that calling early in the morning is the best time to avoid long telephone queues.
