My 90 year old mother is requiring a lot of companion services and home health aides while she awaits an opening in the Assisted Living or Memory Care Unit at Brooksby in Peabody. It is extremely costly. Any advice is welcome. She does not yet qualify for Medicaid.

The Medicare and You 2015 booklet is also a good source. You might be able to download it, or check online with FF's reference, but it's also helpful to have the booklet.

If you have specific questions, you can call Medicare. I've found that calling early in the morning is the best time to avoid long telephone queues.

^^^ P.S. you will need to click on the items in questions to get information whether Medicare will cover said item or not. Not everything on that list is covered.
