Senior let dangerous mental brother move in. He's going to hurt her and sister won't let daughter & pal help! Any suggestions?

No caregiver in same city. Daughter, Son in law live 1000 mi. north, friend lives 1000 mi south. We all LOVE the Mom!! But she lets her brother live in, abuse her, fears being alone & leaving dilapidated family home. It's UNLIVEABLE, HE'S MENTAL & VIOLENT! He was arrested for knife & hallucinations, sent back to sis 2days later!! HELP QUICK PLEASE! BLESS YOU ALL💖pegyoh

I'm afraid that if she wants him there and is mentally competent there won't be any easy answers, perhaps call APS and ask them to check on the situation.
