My mother is using a rollator (walker with 4 wheels) after a fall and TBI. We live in a cold snowy climate and after coming inside the wheels are covered with wet dirty snow that gets tracked all over the floors leaving them dirty, wet and slippery. Overall not the end of the world but I am hoping that someone has encountered this problem and has an ingenious solution that I haven't thought of yet. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You now have an excuse to put any and all thread hung, hole-y bath towels in a nice big basket by front door. Use them to wipe the snow off. And go buy new towels. I am so glad you're getting your mom out, even in the snow. Many people wouldn't drive in snow, let alone take a senior out in the snow.

keep a brush by the door and brush the snow off and have an old towel or bath mat for Mom to roll her wheels over.

Get a door mat that is easy for your Mom to wheel through, have her go forward and back on the mat to help clean the wheels. If too much snow on the wheels, the only thing is to try to bend down and clean the wheels off with a towel.

I tried to Google "cleaning wheels on rollator" but nothing showed up. Great idea for any inventor who is out there reading this :)

My Dad has two walkers, one that he leaves in the garage after going all over the yard, through the snow/dirt.... Mom won't let him in the house with it unless he cleans it off, so Dad bought another walker :P
