How do you respond when one of your siblings accused another sibling of elderly abuse?

One of my brothers accused another brother of elderly abuse, now the one who normally takes care of her is under suspicion. None of the other family members believe it and feels like it was done out of spite. The family has been by the side of the brother that normally takes care of our mother. All we can do is pray for the troubled brother, but we don't like what he did.

If you feel that the accusation is false and meant to cause trouble just give all of your support to the brother who was accused. No one feels worse than he does.

What are your Mom's medical issues? Is she able to respond and clarify if anything at all happened? The brother who is accusing the other brother, how did he hear about alleged abuse? Did Mom say something? If Mom said something, does she by chance have dementia? Those with dementia will make up stories of abuse.
