Find Care & Housing
Where I am, respite care is intended to provide respite to the carer, not the patient, and it is rationed. However it is also a good way to check out how your LO (and you) might go with AL or NH. Just check a bit more – my MIL had a great room for respite care, but a much worse share room when she decided to move in.

You can get all the respite care you want as long as you can self pay. That'll be about $300-$500 a day. Otherwise, if the LO is on hospice, you can get 5 days every 30 days.
