Find Care & Housing
First, go to your state website and type "aging" in the search box. Look for a link the the National Family Caregiver Support Program. Each state has one, as it's federally funded, but each state is a bit different. These folks may be able to direct you to some respite care.

You can also call your social services office and ask about the local human services program, if you don't know what you have locally. Sometimes they have money for respite care providers.

If your local RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) has Senior Companions, they may work out.

Also, of course, you can line up an in-home care agency. They generally are flexible and work in blocks of time.
Good luck. If you look around you should find something.
