Find Care & Housing
Hmm... scratch head. I don't know how my post was judgmental or hateful. You must not have read what I wrote, Bodega. It was easier, I guess, to just lash out at everyone.

Well said, Babalou. I decided after reading some of GloNorth's posts sometime ago that I wouldn't be answering any of her posts, and I feel the same way now that she's changed her screen name. There are enough people who are sincere who really do need and want help.

Surely if God thought about it he would not want human beings to suffer in the way I have had to watch my parents slowly die over 20 years taking me (their sole carer) with them - bit by bit by bit ! They are not dead yet and the only reason I am not is because I placed them both in care. Every other family member diverted attention from themselves and left me to cope (or not cope) alone. When I finally realised through exhaustion I could never win, I did the only sensible thing I ever did and walked away declaring a melt down (which by the way - I did take out of sheer exhaustion). Is this process love ?
Love starts with love thyselve or who else could love you.
On lookers have no right to judge.

Every family, person and set of circumstances are different and in my opinion no one has the right to criticise another carer. We (the carer) do what we can some more (much more than others). I have found people who crisis within the family are attempting to divert attention from themselves to cope with their own inner guilt (a diversion tactic). It's not worth the fight. I do and did what I could for as long as I could and nearly wrecked my life. Even though both my parents are now in care it doesn't mean they are not in my mind ever minute of the day. Sometimes it's hard to understand God's ways !
