Find Care & Housing
Before I cared for both my mom and dad I took care of my grandma who had Alzheimer's and I discovered that she would watch movies that were colorful with a lot of action such as singing and dancing. I'd put on some of the classics like "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" or "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", movies that zipped along with a lot of music and hijinks. I was constantly on the prowl for classic movies as my grandma would grow bored watching the same movie over and over. She couldn't really follow the plot of these movies which is why there had to be a lot of music and dancing and action. If there was a lot of back and forth dialogue she'd get bored. And movies in color kept her interest more than black and white although I could put on a black and white and fast forward to some dance sequences if the dancing was interesting enough like with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Try movies with a lot of movement and color. I don't know if your husband has dementia of if these kinds of movies would keep most people with dementia interested but maybe it's worth a try.
