my husband has serious issues with hearing loss, etc. which were caused by insuffucient ear protection back in the 1960's, when he was an instructor on the Rifle Range in Quantico, VA. (he was in for 4.5 years). He has never asked for any VA help, but we need it now -- our extra cash is used up by expensive treatments for my cancer. We can't afford to get him medical assistance fpr his hearing right now.We are repeatedly told how difficult it is to apply for and receive VA benefits without the help of a VA-certified or connected attorney. Thank you!

My dad is a WWII vet and his only health insurance is the Veterans Admin. He has NEVER had to go thru a lawyer, just forms to fill out. They charge on a sliding scale, so the less you make the less you pay. Call the V.A. and talk to them about what hoops they want you to jump thru. No biggie.
