If a person goes into a nursing home and doesn't have family or friends to help them--who takes them to doctors etc.?

They are attended by the facility staff physician who should see them monthly. If they need to see an outside physician, the facility will arrange transport for them, with an aide if needed. In an emergency, the facility calls 911.
