What if your parent is not married, who has to make decisions; the children or siblings?

In my family we the children made the decisions. We also had power of attorney and medical proxy. To be sure I would check with an elder attorney.

The parent can do what they want until they are declared incompetent by a Judge in court.

Who does your parent want to be making decisions for them? The adult children or the siblings?
