I am a 74 year old male. I visited bathroom approx. 14 times per 24 hours. 2 to 3 times during sleep hours. I had a green light prstate procedure. I experienced urgency, leakage and excessive bathroom visits, 25 to 35 per 24 hour day. RX Enablex reduced urgency and some leakage. No effect on frequency with two different prescriptions. I stopped after 90 days with having a hidden penis and serious urine rash, just like babies.

For the rash try things for babies, like Caldesene powder. My Mom when to a specialist and had an "interstem" implanted. It works like a pace maker only for the bladder. It has changed her life immensely.

Good luck.

For your rash, use baby wipes after each urination and dry then put a thin film of creamy Desitin. My family never had any diaper rash ever due to my doing that. You might need to see a different urologist to do some testing to find what meds you really need or if there is something wrong that has gone undetected. I have the feeling there is some underlying cause that the meds are not defeating.

Go to a Urlogist who specializes in Interitial Cystitis. Commonly called (IC) Do a google search. You will be surprised how many women/men have this condition. Including me. I was just awarded 100% disibilty. There are meds that will help you greatly. p.s. never let anybody tell you this is infection or it's all "in your head". Good Luck to you!

There are other options for your Overactive Bladder besides drugs! Options recognized by the American Urological Association include two forms of neuromodulation: sacral nerve stimulation (InterStim) and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS). InterStim is surgically implanted in your buttock and PTNS is a low-risk non-surgical treatment delivered through a series of office treatments. A great resource for additional information is I hope you and your doctor are able to work out a solution!
