I am my husband's Power of Attorney ("General Power of Attorney") and it includes property and health. He has the same to make him my POA. But that was when we lived in Alaska in 1999. Now we live in Texas and have a new will. But I thought this Power of Attorney would be OK as long as we live.

By the way, both POAs were done by Kopperud & Hefferanb, Attorneys at Law in Alaska.

Since you know who wrote the POAs, it might be good to ask them. I'm not sure the state statues for POA are the same from state to state. That is another thing to check on. You could ask the person who wrote up the new will about that.

Read the new Will, you may see a POA included within the documents.
