Has the new "proposed net worth limit" been officially passed/adopted?

If yes do I understand it correctly that the maximum amount for a surviving spouse is $119,220 for VA benefits?

Oh, I wish it was that simple. VA looks at income vs expenses and allows the patient to have some reserve funds to cover 12 months. I have not yet seen the 2017 figures. VA should assign you to a benefits counselor at no charge.
