I just rec'd a privste message from a spammer trying to sell me a cure for arthritis.

There now three little dots in the upper right hand corner of the PM. One of the options is to report. One can also delete or make the message private.

Seems like a good idea.

That’s not a new feature. It’s always been an option.

I saw that. I didn't know it wasn't already there. I reported one that just said "Hi". New poster likely phishing for response who had also made a one word bizarre post on the forum itself. Gone in a day.
What I would long for, and love, would be a block button, where we don't even have to see such posters ever again. I love FB where I do mostly art, photography, sewing, crafts, etc. When trouble comes along you just press the block button, and never have to see them again anywhere. It's magic!

I recently reported a few private messages regarding opening up a carehome in the UK with claims of offering money for advice. Yeah, right. I didn’t respond and reported immediately.

I am like Alva. A block button would be fantastic for unwanted private messages.

A BLOCK button in general would be fantastic for unwanted PMs and to avoid reading certain heartburn-inducing posts entirely! :)

You mean we couldn't do that before?

BarbBrooklyn, thanks for the heads up on that.

I belong to another forum NextDoor and it took me awhile to realize that the downward arrow next to my posting contained all sorts of things. It's fun finding new things :)

My husband was telling me about a feature his company did for Alexa and how she follows his commands.

I cracked up. I hear all of the testing of products now that he is working at home.

So, I asked him, “Honey, are you Alexa’s boss?”

Imagine what our grandparents would think of modern technology?

My sweet grandmother freaked out when she saw me placing a popcorn bag in the microwave. She thought the bag was going to burn up! LOL

She would have really been blown away with Alexa!

I will never forget her being furious at my grandfather for buying a clothes dryer. She wanted to continue to hang her clothes on the line. She didn’t have a dishwasher, never wanted one. She made the most delicious coffee in an old white enamel percolator on the stove! I have my great aunt’s percolator. I love it!
