Tried. Social services and Family Services no help, I live in Vigo Co. north west top of Terre Haute, In, in building of one bedroom and mostly elderly. FFSA is what it is called asked no reply until I looked you up. and tried to find answers as this place is Bed Bugs many will not help you here too many take home with them, when signing up for apartment had Ombudsman, asked woman in charge still here in office. Do you have bed bug problems here. she lied and looked me in eye and said no. well about ate me up Dr gave me ointment for it and used allergy meds. finally got a mattress bed bug proof on my bed. $50 for it and spray, They spray once a month. I had them spray every Friday and do laundry with a bad back hurt a lot. not easy to do. only mde worse so got that mattress cover goes on like pillow case and was not easy got it on, and seals in 3 ways so not had any since I used not to be used my spray. and let then not near my apartment since. so for 3 months bed bug free . I sprayed it 2 times and had that cover on my mattress, double bed hospital bed. only seen once since. and no don't let in my apartment to spray. they made it worse and worse. they about ate my back and arms and legs to pieces. Now it seems to be under control. no problems not seen but once since doing the mattress cover and spraying under my bed and around it since.. this floor 4th is awful they spray the walls and around all the apartments I told them no for 3 months now and no bed bugs now. I think they make more and bring them in here. not happy about it at all. they lied and no one will come and help sweep my apartment and been here since Aug 25th 2018. need help with light housework, sweeping floors and getting groceries in and put up, I can still cook some, $14 food stamps on 27th a month is not good for a strict diet from stomach surgery years ago. and need of test to see if needs repair hernia above it. to be done soon, Specialist July 31st appointment set. Ombudsman is no longer helping me. as of Feb 27, got letter May 1st 2019??? called her and was postmarked as April 27th or so. surprised me I was not expecting to be let go.

JTWD where are you? You need to look up elders' services at your local Department of Human Services, or whatever it's called where you are, and get in touch with them for advice. If you're having trouble, please fill in your approximate location and we can do a little bit of research for you.

I'm sorry that you're struggling, it can be especially tough when you're on your own.
