Depending upon the disability, wearing diapers, and need for oxygen, you could consider driving overnight while the person sleeps in the back seat on a pile of blankets.

Having two drivers, driving all night.

That is a lot of travel for a paralyzed elder. I would hire a Non Emergency Medical Transport Company and be safe.There might be a discount for seniors.

This may sound crazy but see if he ever bought at subscription from his local fire department for transport. My parents had one and they transported my Mom over 100 miles for 75.$ To this day I buy aa family one every year.. it's a donation to them and great for us if we need it. When Mom had to go by ambu 2x her last year we paid nothing,, Not every area offers this but its worth looking into

Do a search for angel transportation, medical RV transfers. This should help you find people with RVs that do this type of transport.

I don't know how much it costs but, it is probably cheaper then a true medical transport company.

My father needs to be transferred from one nursing home to another. Different states 5 hour trip. He had a massive stroke last spring so he's paralyzed on right side and speech is impaired.
