We live in Brandon Florida. She needs to be taken to and from Dr appts while I'm at work, BUT the driver has to stay with her due to her being VERY hard of hearing and needs some help walking. The driver has to be there and tell her what the Dr says. Is there any kind of svc that provides that?
Thanx.

Yes, what you need is a geriatric care manager. Lots of them in Florida.

TampaBart, for my Dad, I had a Caregiver who would drive him to his doctor appointments, sit in with Dad with the doctor, and she would call me after the appointment to tell me how things went. This was Dad's regular caregiver who he had most of the day. It was expensive but worth every penny for peace of mind.

You might be able to hire a caregiver for 3 hours [usually a minimum]. But chances are it wouldn't be the same caregiver each time. It works better if it is the same person each time. Most caregivers prefer a full-time shift.
