He is only with me 24 hours a day. He was a high functioning person socially and he may get that back some as he relates to others in the group. He was a therapist and later a public health administrator. He can not drive. He dresses himself with my help. He can feed himself and go to the bathroom alone. However he gets confused at times. He may show some separation anxiety but so wil I. He is a real sweety

Yes, you will both have separation anxiety, but you are making a very good choice. Social interaction is very important. Work with the day care staff and see how it's best to leave him. It will be hard. Just know you are making this move out of love.
