What kind of assistance does the NH give him? What kind of tests did he pass?

Does he have a safe place to go to?

Does Curt have a guardian appointed for him? Does he have a POA helping him with his finances? Where will he be going? Is he able to care for himself. You say "he's fine now". What was wrong with him that got him entered into care, and who assisted in that process. Afraid we need more information. Do know that NH is not prison. If someone is physically and mentally capable of caring for himself he can, yes, move.

Is he in rehab or long term care? If he has a safe place to go and able to do daily tasks, then he should be able to be discharged. Is his PCP involved in his care? Maybe he should ask him/her to review the his medical records.
