When the time comes, my family and I will make sure that he will be cremated. Everyday, he insists on being cremated and I try and play along with his request and I also pretend that I call Neptune Society (where he will be cremated). He also mention this to the caregiver. At night I give him a sedative (for aniexty and mood). I also give him Melatonin and CW ( Charlotte's Web). Given the ok by his PCP. Please help with any suggestions that you have?

You could give him written confirmation from the crematorium that his wishes will be carried out. To show him you have taken his request seriously ask him to pick the music for his ceremony. My auntie got a lot of comfort knowing that her favorite music would be played at her funeral.

Good idea but seems he is stuck on this cremation thing. Not the first time OP has posted about this.

U are just going to keep telling him all the arrangements have been made and his wishes will be done when the good Lord comes for him.

Nothing about dementia makes sense. I wonder what need he's REALLY expressing when he's insisting on being cremated every day while he's still alive? With repetitive statements, the person is often seeking either comfort or reassurance that all is well. Or, perhaps he's saying that he's ready to die? Do you think that's what's happening? My mother *with dementia* often says she's ready to die, so I tell her that it's not up to her when that happens, but up to God. Maybe if you tell your dad he still has work to do on Earth before he can be cremated, perhaps that will settle him down momentarily.

Good luck!
