My father in law only has 2 children. Since he passed last night, does his children have any rights to arrange funeral and burial even though they don't have Power of Attorney?

POA ends on death. So his children can arrange a funeral.

Margaret71, hopefully the father-in-law had placed in his Will what type of arrangements he would want for his funeral.

If not, then the family needs to work as a team to arrange the funeral the way the father-in-law had wished. I'd assume father-in-law's wife has already passed, if not, then she is first in line to make the arrangements.... then comes father-in-law's children [as worriedinCali had noted].

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family for your husband's Dad's passing.
