She's begging to get out. Should I ask the nurse for anxiety meds? She’s not going to benefit from anything while she’s scared to death.

Wellie
i have an aunt, 93, with dementia. I can’t imagjne how difficult it would be for her to have a broken arm. I’m so sorry this has happened to your aunt.
Perhaps you could ask for her to be seen by a geriatric psychiatrist to manage her meds. Also ask if she seems less agitated when you are not speaking with her. I think sometimes when a LO recognizes a family member they get upset as they want their family member to rescue them. She may not be upset at all when you aren’t available to her. This virus is taking a terrific toll on our elderly. I wish I had the answer you are looking for. I hope your aunt isn’t in pain.
