We cannot find a good set of answers when my M-I-L with dementia asks where her husband is (he passed eleven years ago). Ideas?

Can you say he's visiting someone else and will be back in a couple of days, or has gone for a short visit to his home country or something like that, where she won't expect him back immediately? Then you need to distract her with something else, so she doesn't dwell on it.

There are a lot of threads on here about this very question. If you do some searching around, you'll find them. There has been one in the past couple of days with a lot of answers about this same question. Good luck...I hope you can find something that works. I'll see if I can find that other thread and post it here for you.
