My mother-in-law and husband own a cooperative apt together. How can we protect it?

Should she "sell" it to him? Sign it over to him? If we sell the entire apt does the whole thing count as her money? Advise please

I would definitely talk to a elder law attorney or real estate attorney to see what your options are.
